Executive Committee
Purpose

To manage the day to day running of VIDES UK through management group co-ordinators
To oversee and support the activities of all management groups
To appoint a named person to be responsible for the Sponsorship Programme
To manage the growth and development of VIDES UK
To manage VIDES funds and fundraising activities
To be accountable to the Charity Commission, Salesian Council, VIDES International and Financial donors

UK Projects Team
Purpose

To introduce volunteers to their first experience of volunteering with VIDES UK and manage application process for camps
To create an educative environment that promotes learning, Salesian values and personal growth and development through 'lived' community experience on a VIDES Formation Camp
To offer an activity based project to children and young people 7-16 in their local community within the UK
To work with local groups or individuals to support the VIDES Camps

Local Volunteers Team
Purpose

To introduce VIDES to local groups and individuals wherever VIDES runs a UK camp
To offer local people the opportunity for involvement in the work of VIDES
To offer structured training during and after the camp experience where required or requested
To encourage the continuation of VIDES work in the local community

Volunteer Development Team
Purpose

To offer structured training to VIDES volunteers to support formation of each individual
To facilitate the sharing of experiences of volunteers involved in all aspects of VIDES work and introduce them to other opportunities within VIDES
To offer training essential to the running of VIDES as an organisation (i.e. Management training)

Communications Team
Purpose

To manage communication between the organisation, volunteers and the wider community
To manage the administration and marketing of VIDES UK

Youth Development Team
Purpose

To introduce VIDES to people 16+ with an interest in volunteering
To manage application process for young people wishing to take part in Youth development activities
To offer personal development and training to young people aged 14-16 who are introduced to VIDES

Volunteers Abroad Team
Purpose

To introduce existing volunteers to opportunities for volunteering abroad
To introduce the work of VIDES to adults 25+ (new to VIDES) who have a specific interest in volunteering abroad
To work with the delegate to facilitate individual placements abroad for volunteers (including application process)
To prepare and train volunteers for an experience abroad with VIDES
To support volunteers during and after their experience abroad

Group Projects Abroad
Purpose

To introduce existing VIDES volunteers to group projects abroad and manage application process for projects
To prepare and train volunteers for a group experience abroad with VIDES
To work with the delegate to facilitate communication with host communities
To de-brief experience with volunteers after a group experience abroad

VIDES is a developing organisation with ever changing needs from its volunteers. From time to time there will be exceptions to policies laid out - the Executive Committee will deal with such exceptions and where appropriate may accept an individual change or permanent change to policy
