VIDES UK is a charity made up of volunteers from all over the UK. It has two main aims:

To provide training and formation for volunteers.
To organise activities for children and young people in the UK and abroad.

We do this through a number of projects:

Formation Camps in the UK, where volunteers plan and run summer camps for the local young people.
Volunteering abroad, where individual or groups of volunteers work in developing countries for a long term or short term experience.

Volunteers are also involved in other aspects of VIDES UK:

Organising and running projects
Fundraising
Training
Finance

VIDES Mission Statement
As VIDES UK we provide, promote and support the ongoing training and development of young people, offering them opportunities to serve local communities throughout the world.

As VIDES Volunteers we commit ourselves to building communities in the world of the young through our friendship and presence.

We aim to foster a joyful and supportive environment where each person is valued, encouraged and empowered.

We respond to the needs of local communities anywhere in the UK and throughout the world and in doing so we collaborate to develop an ongoing service for the young that will be a positive influence for all.
