VIDES camps run from Sunday to Saturday during the school holidays for a five year period in a local area. You may have heard some of your friends talking about it or had some volunteers come to local schools to give assemblies. Each year the camps take a different theme and all activities are based around that theme. For juniors this year it is HARRY POTTER and for the seniors it is HOLLYWOOD BLOCKBUSTERS. Below is how a typical day on camp might look:
Juniors 7-11 year olds:
10:00 Welcome in the main hall.
10:30 Activity Zones: Lively educational sessions on issues relevant to the children.
11:30 Lunch
12:30 Small Activities: A choice of Art, Muic, Drama, Sport, Board Games etc.
1:30 Celebration Prep: Preparation for a concert at the end of the week which parents and families are invited to attend.
2:30 Sing song and certificates
3:00 Departures.
The cost of the weeks activities is £5 or £1 for a single day There is usually a trip to a theme park organised for one of the days, for details ask on site.
Seniors 12-17 year olds:
7:00 Small Activities: A choice of Art, Muic, Drama, Sport, Board Games etc.
8:00 Activity Zone: A lively educational sessions on issues relevant to the young people.
9:15: Departures
The cost of the weeks activities is £5 or £1 for a single evening.
There is usually a trip to a theme park organised for one of the days, for details ask on site.
