The beginnings
Back in the year 2000, the VIDES seed was sown in the fertile land of Kenya.
VIDES Kenya (Salesian Kenyan Volunteers) began with 10 enthusiastic young people from different parts of Kenya who worked in partnership with 10 UK volunteers on a joint project in the border town of Namanga. Today that small seed has already grown beyond anyone's expectations.

Personal Reflections
"The experience convinced me that in breaking down barriers between cultures, the differences between us become insignificant." (kate -UK)
"We feel that VIDES UK has sown a seed. We will not let it die - soon it will be growing into VIDES KENYA." (Laurenzia - Kenya)
