What We do

VIDES UK trains volunteers (17-35 yrs) to work with children and young people in their local areas, helping to make a difference. We do this through a number of different projects.

Formation Camps/Projects
We run Formation Camps in the UK, where volunteers plan and run VIDES projects for the local children and young people.

Training Programme
Central to every VIDES Camp/Project is the training and formation of the volunteers.

Each year VIDES organises several training events in preparation for the Formation Camps and the Africa Project.

The Vides Vides View is a weekend for anyone interested in finding out more about VIDES and the VIDES For You weekend is open to all volunteers to celebrate and share the work carried out over the past year.

The VIDES in the World Day is for those aged 25+ looking for an experience abroad with VIDES. VIDES UK also organises a residential weekend for young people aged 14-16 years from the different areas where VIDES runs projects and camps in the UK. (Vides For Youth)

Volunteering Abroad
Volunteers have the opportunity of experiencing and supporting different projects with VIDES all around the world. Volunteers can have an individual or group experiences abroad.
Volunteers can also take part in the International Convention or support projects for children and young people abroad through the Sponsorship Programme.
