Cambodia
In March 2005 I travelled to Cambodia to work with children and young people in the city of Phnom Penh.
I lived in a Salesian house that was attached to a girl’s college. In the mornings I would teach English to the girls in the college who were aged 18-22.
In the afternoon I would travel out to a small village primary school outside Phnom Penh where I taught English to 10-18 year olds.
This was always my favourite part of the day as the children were so keen to learn, their enthusiasm and excitement amazed me.
This was a wonderful experience, hard work at times but it allowed me to learn more about this wonderful world that we live in and to experience things that I never dreamed of.
